The Outer Limits is owned and operated by Captain Bennett Taylor. In 1987, this highly trained Captain earned his 100 ton Coast Guard Masters Captain\'s license. Captain Taylor grew up fishing in his home state of Delaware. Over the years, he ran a charter business in Delaware, where he fished for dolphin, shark, and Marlin. Later in his life, he fished commercially in Cooke Inlet, Alaska for Salmon. However, before moving to Alaska he gained his college degree from the University of Delaware.
Before Captain Taylor made it to Key West, he was able to fish in waters all over the world including Costa Rica, Hawaii, and Mexico. He also did some fishing in the Carolinas prior to making Key West home. Captain Taylor is a true champion when it comes to fishing. He has won or placed high in each of the following competitions:
The White Marlin Open
The Ocean City Shark Tournament
The Ocean City Tuna Tournament
The Key West Texaco Classic
In addition to this impressive record of accomplishments, Captain Taylor was also able to work on the crew of the I.R.B.A. Charterboat of the year, for two straight years! With a record like this you can be certain that Captain Taylor knows where to find the fish in Key West and he can help you catch them.
The Outer Limits was built in 2000, as a completely new 42\' custom fishing boat powered with twin 430C Cummins Turbo Diesel engines. The Outer Limits features a 128 square foot cockpit, 16 rod holders, a 50 gallon bait well, and more. Also on board is a Bose stereo with surround sound, CD player, and a DVD player.
A microwave, refrigerator, and freezer are also available to keep your snacks and food fresh, should you bring any. You can expect speed when traveling on the Outer Limits, as this trendy fishing vessel is able to travel at speeds of 40 mph, allowing you to spend more time fishing while you are out with Captain Taylor on one of his charters.
